A very late Word of the Week…

I’m sorry this is so late,  but holidays tend to interrupt all types of learning. 

 sylph .n – an imaginary spirit of air.

After eating an entire can of baked beans,  the old lady could sense an evil sylph rising in the room.

 myrrh .n  – a fragrant gum resin used in perfume and incense. 

Mary is still waiting for her seven years bad luck after breaking the bottle of myrrh.

ocarina – n.  an egg-shaped wind instrument

I’m actually not sure where I want to use this word.  I think I’ll play with my ocarina until I come up with something…

    frond – n. the leaf or leaf-like part of a palm, fern, etc
